Yeeshan Asian Eatery was born from a simple but powerful idea: that food can nurture the body, delight the senses, and connect people across cultures. Founder Jennifer Li spent years building a successful career in finance, but her lifelong passions of high-quality food, global flavors, and artistic expression never stopped calling to her. When she stepped away from the corporate world in 2025, she finally chose to pursue her dream: creating a restaurant where nourishment and beauty exist in harmony.

The name Yeeshan (颐膳舫) captures this vision.
颐 (Yee) speaks to well-being and nourishment.
膳 (Shan) represents fine cuisine.
舫 (Fang) evokes a boat house on the water, a nod to balance, serenity, and Wisconsin’s lakes.

Together, the name reflects Jennifer and Co-founder Connie Li’s belief that dining should be both comforting and uplifting: a place where flavor, culture, and care come together.

To bring this vision to life, Jennifer and Connie partnered with Chef Victor Chong, whose culinary journey began at age 16 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Learning in his family’s restaurant and later refining his craft in high-end Asian fusion kitchens, including in Chicago and Seattle, Victor developed a style rooted in tradition yet inspired by innovation. He believes a dish should be a piece of art, offering joy through taste, aroma, and presentation. His wok-fired techniques, deep respect for ingredients, and passion for modern Asian cuisine shape every plate at Yeeshan.

Together, Jennifer, Connie and Victor share a mission: to create a warm, welcoming dining experience where guests feel nourished, cared for, and excited to return.
